Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), usually in the form of calcite or aragonite. It is the main raw material for burning lime and cement and is a solvent for iron and steel making. As one kind of medium hardness stone, an impact crusher is widely chosen as the secondary crushing equipment.
For this kind of medium hardness stone, our company recommends the following crushing production process configuration:

1. Raw material (<300mm) will be fed and dropped on the vibrating feeder by strong vibrating frequency, which will make the raw stone be fed into the primary jaw crusher uniformly and stably.
2. The primary jaw crusher uses the squeezing principle caused by the movement of the jaw plate to reduce the material to size.
3. After primary crushing, the crushed stone will be conveyed to a secondary impact crusher for re-crushing to increase target size particle yield.
4. After the crushing work is finished, the vibrating screen will help sieve the finished product into different qualified product size ranges, such as 0-5, 5-15, and 15-40mm.
5. The belt conveyor is the core conveying equipment connecting the entire crushing work. The installation angle is within 17 degrees.
• Jaw Crusher has two series – the PE series, and the C series. If you wanna make your maintenance more convenient, the C series jaw crusher will be your better choice.
• Fine jaw crusher and cone crusher, both can be chosen as the secondary crushing equipment if your stone is very hard, like granite or river pebbles.
• If your material is coal, the hammer crusher or the double roller crusher can be your choice for the secondary crushing device.
• The layer number of the vibrating screen can be 1 – 4, Hole size can be customized.
• Optional dust collector system if the customer has environmental protection dust reduction requirements.
