Gypsum is a soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate, with the chemical formula CaSO4·2H2O. It is widely mined and used as a fertilizer and as the main constituent in many forms of plaster, blackboard chalk, and drywall. Here are some key points about gypsum:
• Appearance: Gypsum typically appears as white or grayish crystals or a fine powder.
• Texture: It has a soft, crystalline texture that can be easily scratched with a fingernail.
• Hardness: Gypsum has a Mohs hardness of 2, which is quite low, indicating it is a soft mineral.
The complete gypsum grinding plant are composed of four process – crushing, grinding, powder collection and packaging, just like the flowchart shows.
